It is finally starting to feel like
summer here in Northern Wisconsin, and with that water temperatures are
increasing, and the local bass are on the move. The rising water temperatures
propel the bass from their shallow spawning pattern into depths of cooler water
and an abundance of prey. Bass can be difficult to pattern at this time of year
as the transition is occurring. Many will remain shallow while other can be
found in depths over 20 feet. This smallmouth bass was caught on Rest Lake in 8
feet of water.
