Join the Discovery Center for an afternoon winter waterfall adventure.

Waterfalls in Winter - Adults
Date: Saturday 01/14/2012 10AM - 3PM

We’ll visit 4 different waterfalls from 15 to 30 feet in size and will be traveling from the U.P. to Northern Wisconsin in the Discovery Center van. While exploring the falls we’ll discuss the complex geology of the Gogebic and Penokee Iron range, which at one time was taller than mount Everest. Today, they show us the base of the mountain and the rocks are aged to be some of the oldest in the world.

Make sure to bring a camera for this winter wonderland experience.

Bring a pair of snowshoes or rent a pair at the Center.
We’ll meet at the Discovery Center at 10am and return by 3pm.

Pack a lunch. Call early to reserve your spot, or click here to register.

 Admission:

Add $5 if you need to rent snowshoes

Meet at the Discovery Center. (715)543-2085
